How does a Flyboard work?
A Flyboard rider stands on a board connected by a long hose to a watercraft. Water is forced under pressure to a pair of boots with jet nozzles underneath which provide thrust for the rider to fly up to in the air or to dive headlong through the water down.
What do you need for flyboarding?
You will need to wear a helmet to prevent any discomfort in case of going head down towards the water. You can be sure that you will not fall off as you will be strapped on the board and even then, wearing a life jacket. Flyboards are very light and easy to maneuver.
Do you need to know swimming for Flyboarding?
You don’t need to know how to swim to flyboard. Everyone will be wearing approved life jackets. Flyboarding does involve having somebody control in the water, but your instructor can teach you the needed skills at the beginning.
Do you need any special skills for flyboarding?
No. but knowing how to swim is a plus point but not necessary at all, as you will be given a briefing and accompanied during the activity under the guidance of our professional instructors.
How safe is Flyboarding?
You cannot do flyboard if you are pregnant, or have an ongoing medical or heart condition, or if you have had any recent surgeries, or have knee or ankle problems. We do not recommend the flyboard to people who are afraid of heights, or water.

Is Flyboard easy to learn?
Flyboarding is very easy to learn! On average people get up on the board within 2-5 minutes and start flying, and basic maneuvres are learned within 20 minutes usually. It may take longer for some but our instructors will be right there to guide you through the process and have you flying in no time.
What are the basics steps for flyboarding?
- Briefing session
- Suit Up
- Strap on Your Boots
- Get in the Water
- Stand Up for Takeoff
- Keep Your Body Straight
- Look Straight Ahead
- Maneuver the Flyboard
- Communicate with Your Instructor
- Relax!
What Do You Do if You Fall?
Flyboarding requires a lot of balance, so it is likely you will fall during your first few tries. However, the Flyboard is completely buoyant and is designed to push you back to the surface if you go underwater. You will also be wearing a mandatory life jacket. As long as you stay relaxed and follow these easy instructions, you will be perfectly safe.
Can I do flyboarding with prescription glasses on?
You can use prescription glasses as long as you use some straps around your spectacles so that you don’t lose them.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Flyboarding has always been a weather-dependent sport If unpleasant weather occurs, all training will either be postponed until later in the day or rescheduled.
Training will recommence when weather conditions do not compromise safety. In the event of severe lightning or a storm, activities may stop. If the rain continues activities may be canceled or postponed to a later date. In the case of the cancelation of the activity, participants are offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Do I get a refund if I don’t show up?
The booking amount is not refundable. If u have paid the whole amount then the balance amount is refundable.
Do we need to book in advance or can i come directly to the location?
Yes, advance booking is compulsory to avoid disappointment as we can entertain only certain participants in a day. So it’s advisable not to show up at the location without booking the activity.

Testimonial – flyboarding at calangute beach 11
Such a wonderful experience to do the flyboarding. No words to describe the thrill I was given at Atlantis.
Calangute Sea is always filled with so much energy and a place of social buzz. I have tried flyboarding before but it has never given me an experience like how Atlantis gave me. The staff members are great, wonderful organisation and co-ordination, budget friendly and an awesome location. They truly understood my needs and attended to it.
I am so overwhelmed to share my experience of flyboarding which I tried recently with Atlantis. Always being scared of water, I made up my mind to try this sport with the assistance of the staff. They showed so much interest in attending to my queries and took care of things well. The location was really great and the weather too favoured my flyboarding. I was still bursting with energy and could completely enjoy my the experience
Jets were attached to my feet and I was flying high in the air; it was so good. Thank you so much Atlantis Water sports for the best hospitality ever. You guys took my safety seriously and at the sea also. same time made me feel the real thrill of this adventure.

After having tried Flyboarding at Atlantis Water Sports in Goa, the terms flyboarding, Goa, Atlantis and Calangute Sea are all emotions. I have a run of memories with this place, the sport and not to forget the staff members whom I would like to address as my friends. Such a welcoming atmosphere and safe space to try almost all water sports. Hoping to try many others next time.
Fly boarding sounds really intimidated and I was so not ready to do it. But finally couldn’t resist and did it with Atlantis Water sports. I had no clue that Goa has Fly boarding too but then my friend told me about Atlantis Water sports. We both loved the way we flew in the air as the sea was really calm . It was really scary but proper safety measures were taken. Most thrilling experience of our life!
